Veterinarian
Dr Barbara Affleck lives in Hartbeespoort with her special and beloved family. She qualified from Onderstepoort in 2011. Barbara has a menagerie of animals, each with a unique place in her heart. She works at Manorswood Vet on Mondays and Tuesdays and alternates Saturday mornings.
Veterinarian
Dr Ashley Heymans qualified from Onderstepoort in 2021 and spent some time working in animal welfare before joining the team in January 2024. She’s quickly settled into the lifestyle at Manorswood and hopes to stay a long time! Ashley lives in Gallo Manor with her two rescue dogs.
Receptionist
Kelsey rejoined the team this year after she went to pursue other interests and we are happy to have her friendly face back. She loves all animals, big and small, and owns large and small breed dogs with 2 rescue cats. She is always willing to help with a smile and professional manner at the front desk.
Veterinary assistant
Lefa has worked as a veterinary assistant for more than five years. He joined the Manorswood Vet team in 2015 and started working with animals in 2016. He completes his duties with passion and efficiency, and loves working with all animals, especially cats. He knows and understands cats’ behaviour and assists in a hands-on manner in our cattery; and knows all the cats who are coming and going.
Veterinary assistant
Elija has worked in the industry for over 27 years as a veterinary assistant. He joined Manorswood Veterinary Clinic at the end of 2021 and is a great addition to the team. He loves to work with all dog breeds and enjoys assisting the doctor with the preparation for surgical procedures. He always shows dedication and is still hard working with his many years of experience.
Security
Rocket is the very cute permanent security, vet assistant and go-to cuddle buddy at Manorswood Vet. He was found as a stray and rocketed his way into everybody’s hearts. He is called Rocket because of the rocket marking on his face and because he doesn’t know what it means to keep still. You will receive a Rocket welcome as he is always curious to meet and greet people at the front desk!
Owner
Dr Viljoen bought the practice from Dr Denver in 2019. He currently owns four practices. He has five beautiful kids, two dogs and a cat.
